I'm landing first and heading straight to the hotel to check us in. Just making sure the room is clean, everything is in order, and ready for when you arrive. Also grabbing a bottle so we can pregame before we head out. All you have to do is show up.
Your flight lands at 10:40 PM — your Uber will be waiting outside Love Field. It's taking you straight to the hotel first. Come up, freshen up, get yourself together. Then we're heading out.

I'm ordering you food from Velvet Taco ahead of time so it's waiting when you get to the room. You're not pulling up to Dallas hungry.
First spot of the night — Hampton Social. Coastal vibes, great cocktails, good energy. We're getting here at 11 and riding it out until they close at midnight. This sets the tone for the whole weekend.

Amanda — fly in your outfit for the night. Come ready to walk in looking right.
Hampton Social closes at midnight — we're not done. We're moving to Waterproof and taking the night to the rooftop. Dallas skyline, late night drinks, they're open until 2 AM. We close the place out.

Hyphen Space — Matcha
Before we do anything else, we're stopping at Hyphen Space — the best matcha spot in Dallas. It's a creative café and makerspace tucked in Expo Park, and they make everything in-house. Their own compotes, their own syrups, ceremonial grade matcha per order. You're going to love it. Try the Strawberry Shortcake — it's what they're known for. Trust me on this one.

African American Museum of Dallas
I planned this one specifically for us. We're getting there right when they open at 11 — before it fills up. Two exhibits I really want us to walk through together. This is going to stay with us.

Mandela: The Official Exhibition
This is the one I'm most excited about. All four galleries, immersive and multisensory, built with the Mandela family. Rarely seen personal artifacts, films, photographs — tracing his life from a rural village in South Africa all the way to becoming the country's first Black president. 27 years in prison and he never broke. One gallery puts you inside the defining moments of his life. Free. Texas debut. We're not missing this.
People Who Make The World Go 'Round: The Legacy of Sepia Magazine
Sepia was the Black answer to Life Magazine — a publication that put our culture, our people, our stories front and center decades before the world caught up. This exhibit celebrates that legacy. It's history, it's culture, it's ours.
Reservation at Culinary Dropout at 2. This one's got the vibe — good food, relaxed energy, the kind of place you sit in and don't want to leave. We'll eat well, take our time, then head back to the hotel and get ready for tonight.
